Preschool Open House & Udon

Today we stayed home in the early morning and Saya painted a ton. We decided to take it easy so that she wouldn't be too tired for preschool open house. We went to her class at 10 thirty and stayed for about 30 minutes while the teacher explained everything about the curriculum. Then the kids had snacks and parents headed to the gym for a meeting with the director. Sounds like a fun and exciting school year. Hopefully Saya will enjoy her class and classmates. The kids were outside playing in one of the many playgrounds and Saya was helping soothe another kiddo in her class that was having a hard time being away from his parents. Saya didn't seem to have any issues. She painted and watered the plants and went fishing on the fire truck. I told her that she could be sad if she wanted to when mommy said good-bye but she said no that's ok. So I guess she's pretty comfy around her surroundings so far. We'll see how the rest of the school year goes. We left Bal Swan with a new book and headed off to Papa Murphy's to collect our summer reading prize of a mini bake pizza. We got the pepperoni and headed home. Saya wanted to play with puzzles but mommy wanted to bake the pizza so we compromised and after one puzzle we made her pizza. She loved making it and putting it in the oven (mom did that part). Then we waited and watched and sliced it soon after and Saya ate the whole thing, except for the small 2 slices that was shared with mom/dad. She also had a blueberry smoothie to go along with it. Wow, what an appetite. You would think this kid hasn't eaten all day. But she had a cookie on the way to school and pirates booty as well. Then in class she got pretzels and a cliff rope for kids. Don't think she was starving but perhaps it was later in the day. We played with puzzles and read books hoping for a nap but still no nap so we decided to make udon noodles and that tired her out. By the time 3pm rolled around after one books she was out.
