DEN-OAK and Little Monkeys

On Tuesday we headed to Oakland airport

Library Story Time- Crib Jumper

On Monday we headed over to library storytime. Saya was extremely tired and couldn't sit still so we decided to leave. We headed home and sure enough Saya fell asleep in the car and continued to sleep at home. We attempted lunch but that didn't work and we decided to read lots of books and then try for another nap.

We tried the nap thing for about an hour before giving up and the day finally came where our little girl won't stay in her crib. Mommy started packing for our trip. Just as she got a few items to put in the suitcase I heard the door knob turning and the door opened. Saya walked out and said "mommy it's not sleepytime, it's wake up time". I had to do a double take to see if the crib gate was up. Sure enough it was. I asked Saya to show me how she got out and she swung her legs over the crib. Thankfully she didn't hurt herself while she climbed out. Now it's time to change the crib to a toddler bed.

We headed to the store to get some milk and some snacks for our trip. We didn't get to ride the horse since we didn't nap. She then helped us pack and we went to bed early for our trip the next morning.

Toaster and Lollilocks

On Sunday we decided to have a simple breakfast and then head over to Target to get a few necessities. Our toaster over bit the dust so it was time to get a new one. We found a cheap one that we hope will last a long time. So long toaster oven!
We then got home and got ready to head out to Lollilocks at Flatirons. They just opened up their store in the mall location. Mommy was not thinking and didn't ask about the location and sure enough it wasn't on the  directory yet. Daddy and Saya were being blown all over by the chilly wind. We finally reached the hairstylist and got to the right location. Saya was super great and we were super super shocked. I was prepared to come back another time if it was too much. Daddy was super excited too! Saya sat on the purple hippo since mommy didn't want her too close to the door in case someone opened the door. We took lots of pictures and indulged ourselves with Dum Dum lollipops. Saya loved this part the best. She got about half an inch cut off and also a princess hairdo. The lady also put some glitter spray on which topped it all off. We got a picture and Saya's locks on a certificate. We got a bottle of Raspberry shampoo but not sure what we will do with it.

We got home and mommy and daddy had lunch and Saya ate the rest of hers too. After that it was nap time and mommy and daddy took a nap too. Mommy got ready to head out to a baby shower. She drank a bit too many mimosas and then decided to head home. We had a nice spaghetti dinner and hung out the rest of the night.

J School and Costco

Today we headed off to J school after a nice pancake breakfast. Our toaster hit the dust so we had to have something that didn't involve one. We headed to J school and sure enough Saya was super tired as usual but she turned to some books and just kept to herself until hoop playing time and singing "oni no pantsu".  She decided to hold another classmates hand and then all the other kids joined in too. So we all sang a song in a big circle. It was awesome. We then had craft time which was playdough and then snacktime. Saya was so happy with all the activities today she did awesome. She ate all her snacks, enough for a lunch, and then played with the other kiddos before saying good bye and hugging everyone. She fell asleep in the car ride home so we let her sleep for a while. We then headed off to get a car wash by Costco but the automatic ones were closed so daddy did a quick rinse before we headed off to Costco. Sure enough we can see out the windows now. Saya was not thrilled how dirty her window was. We walked around Costco and shopped more than we should have. We even got a Slow Man on our trip.

We got home and we played some more and daddy made a salmon pizza for us. Mommy got the suitcases ready for our trip to the Bay Area again for another appt. Since daddy can't watch Saya we'll be going together while daddy works.  Time to start packing and do some more laundry before long long trip. Hopefully I can keep Saya happy on the plane. We got a new 9 cell battery for the laptop so hopefully a movie will do the trick.

Off to Target tomorrow to buy a new toaster and then to Lollilocks for Saya's first haircut. A little nervous but I am sure it will be a great experience. Well, hopefully.

Preschool and Donuts

Today we went to visit a preschool called Wooden Shoe in Westminster. It was quite nice and friendly and Saya had a blast playing. By far they have great programs but I wasn't too keen about the strong scents from the kitchen and other places too. We visited the classrooms and Saya even got to do some art. We visited the pool and gym and LOVED it and didn't want to leave. We got some information and will make a final decision later.

Saya got in the car around 11am and immediately started to fall asleep so we stopped at LaMar's donuts to get a tasty treat. She was so happy and the lady behind the counter happened to be the super sample giver outer so she plopped 3 donut holes in front of Saya. We had to put 2 in a bag to take home since Saya didn't eat her lunch yet. She choose a sprinkle donut with M&M candies on it. Who can blame her.

We got home and Saya was dead asleep in the car but mean mommy woke her up and washed her hands. She was so upset with mommy. Mommy made lunch and 30 minutes later Saya was calm enough to come and eat her lunch. For dessert she got a 1/10 of her donut and she was super happy. She even let mommy brush her teeth before naptime.

We also played with pom poms in funnels and muffin tins and then with bean and cups. Super fun until tired little one wanted to spread them around the room like wildfire. After picking them all up, mainly mommy, it was definitely time for a long long nap.

Babysitter should be coming by again tonight to help out. Now what to make for dinner.

Butterfly Pavilion and Babysitter

On Thursday we had a rough morning so we weren't really going to do much but then decided to head to the Butterfly Pavilion and meet our friends. We got there and our little one was super happy and excited and held Rosie and touched all the cockroaches. She was thrilled. She even touched all the sea creatures 10 thousand times but then when we got into the butterfly room Saya ran and ran and couldn't stay in one place. Why? Saya starts to wonder and run and can't stay in one place when exhausted so mommy though we should go home but she still wanted to play. So we headed into the play room but she stood up on the slide and kids were going in opposite directions and sure enough, Saya fell. That was the last straw we washed hands and headed out the door. Saya was so tired that when we got home she was not in the mood to help make grill cheese. We ate quickly and got ready for a nap. She fell asleep at 1pm and got up at 2 thirty. We played and hung out until our babysitter came to watch Saya for an hour while mommy frantically cooked and cleaned. Perfect timing and when dinner was on the table an hour had passed and the babysitter went home.

We played and hung out for a bit but Saya was super tired and it was a rough time brushing teeth and getting to bed.

Heavy Winds, Preschool and Library

Today we started our morning a bit more relaxed and had time for a nice breakfast of cereal and milk (can you tell I got a bit lazy) and then attempted to do more laundry and pick up things here and  there. We got dressed and ready to head out to the preschool tour. We checked out Gateway Academy on 1st street. It was okay but not super duper impressed. Still our (should I say my) preference is Bal Swan. Saya had no problem playing with all the toys and joining in the kids during circle time. She even gave the teacher a hug before leaving the classroom.
We then headed to the library to return our 40 million books and then check out more. Today Saya was not all into the computers, well not as much as normal, and so we looked around for books together. We ended up getting 30 books which mom carried to the car. There were gusty winds today so we had to make sure that Saya didn't fly away. I know it's supposed to be a super warm day but the winds are just no very fun.

Kiddo decided to take a nap on the way home from the library so we probably won't be getting a nap this afternoon. Any ideas to keep kiddo busy?

Grandma Flew and Avocado Tree

Today we got up as usual after Saya woke us all up. We all got downstairs and made some coffee and breakfast and then waited and played till it was time to leave for the airport. Saya read books and played simon says with mommy and hung out for awhile. We got grandma all packed up and headed to the airport. We took the local roads instead of the tollway so it took a while and surely Saya fell asleep. Once we got to the airport and unloaded grandma Saya woke up as we were driving away. We got home just in time for lunch but with all the snacks in the car it was good to get outside and play for awhile. Saya threw the ball for the kiddos and mommy picked up doggie poop. We headed inside for a light lunch and then did some water coloring. After water coloring we read a bunch of books and it was off to nap but that didn't seem to happen till 3pm. Mommy cooked dinner then and it was ready by the time Saya woke up. When Saya woke up the UPS man came to our door so we were able to return our wrong order and received mommy's clogs and a toddler clock for Saya. Still figuring out the clock. More on that tomorrow.
We also made a avocado tree, well just the pit, and Saya was super excited. So excited she goes over to it and has to splash the water every time. We named her Avo.
After dinner we HAD to have an ice cream cone and then we played and played till Saya was too tired and laid down on the floor. We headed upstairs after playing Charlie and Lola and read lots of books before bed.

Now onto cleaning the house-

SMF and Snow

Yup again when mommy has to head to the airport it snows. The roads were clear though and we didn't have too many worries. In the morning Saya woke us all up and mommy and daddy headed to the airport while grandma watched Saya. Not sure what went on all day while mommy was gone but it looks like some baba ganoush was made and some outdoor play in the snow. By the time mommy got home from the airport it was time for daddy to get ready to leave for his 6am flight the following morning. Long day and we all went to bed early.

IKEA and Possible Snow?

Today we headed off to IKEA for a bit of shopping. Saya had a blast but was super tired by lunch and we had to get out of there as fast as we could. We got a bunch of little things and went way over budget. Oh well, don't think we'll be going there for a while. Saya got a comforter and duvet, utensils, toy organizer and mommy and daddy got some things for the house. It was a long drive there and back and Saya fell asleep right when we got in the car. We got home and Jeff started getting ready for dinner while mommy went to the store to rent a movie from Redbox.

J School

Today we got an early start and daddy got breakfast ready for all of us. We relaxed and got ready to head out to Japanese school. Mommy knew that it was going to be a long day at school but we still went. Saya did great although we had to leave the classroom 3 times she buckled down and participated the last half of the class. We made heart families and had snacks soon afterwards. We decided to head to the doggie store afterwards and got the doggies treats. Saya loved picking out raw hides for them.

We got home and had a nice lunch and then grandma and daddy took care of Saya while mommy went to get a haircut return some groceries. When mommy got back home grandma and daddy headed to the store for dinner ingredients. Saya got up from her nap and 10 minutes later daddy and grandma came home. Perfect timing!

Grandma made chicken for dinner and we all had a nice time but Saya wanted out of her chair. She said to us "I want to sit on the bench properly" so we had to let her out and sit down with us. How could you say no to that. We had a few treats after dinner and then got ready for a bath.

Mall with Grandma

On Friday daddy had to work so mommy, Saya and grandma headed over to the mall. Saya was so excited to show grandma everything and place that she knows. She didn't want the stroller so we all walked inside. We went to the play area for a bit and then headed over to Old Navy and did a bit of shopping. Grandma bought Saya some more clothes and then we bumped into our friends. Saya headed into the candy shop and accidentally dropped a candy so mommy had to buy. Then we headed over to Hannah Andersson and Disney Store. Saya was a bit embarassed when we started to dance to the Hercules song. She said "no, stop that" so we stopped. Then we headed over to Build-a Bear and then off to lunch. We had french fries and chicken tenders, definitely not healthy, from Chicken Now and mommy supplemented with apples and carrots. Saya loved the french fries but it was soon time to go home. We headed towards our car but not before Saya tried to go into Crate and Barrel. Mommy got her right away and we headed home. Saya fell asleep in the car but stayed asleep while mommy carried her upstairs and changed her into her pajamas. She took a nice 2 hour nap and mommy got a chance to go to the store to buy groceries while grandma stayed home. We started cooking spaghetti sauce and had a nice dinner when daddy got home.

Did we mention boobies? Yes, Saya discovered how boobies come in different sizes. Seeing only small ones she was excited to see larger ones. All she could say in the morning before we left for the mall was boobies boobies boobies. Hilarious.

Jump'n Jordy's & Grandma

On Thursday mommy and Saya headed over to Jump'n Jordy's in Westminster.  They didn't open till 10am so we played a  lot at home. We played hot potato and some other games before getting ready to go. Mommy was afraid Saya would fall asleep in the car on the way over but she did great and stayed up. We went in and Saya jumped on every bouncy castle and even found a new friend to follow around. Saya still afraid of the slides, they were kind of steep, went up the climbing ladder and then got stuck at the top so mommy had to go up and go down the slide or climb back down again at least 10 times. Oh dear! On the way home Saya fell asleep so after a 20 minute nap in the car we got home and read books and then went to get the mail. Still the doggies needed a walk so we took them on a walk as well and got home. We played in the backyard and picked up doggie poop and Saya mowed the lawn and came back inside. Saya was super tired since she really didn't have a nap so she fell asleep on the couch and mommy got a chance to clean up and cook until daddy and grandma got back from the airport.

Montessori

On Wednesday we had an early morning wake up and then headed off to Hope Montessori for the preschool tour. We stopped by a model home to see how it was doing and then headed home. We played with soy beans and tongs and then did a pouring exercise. But to mommy's surprise Saya fell asleep at 11 thirty on the couch as she was super duper tired. So mommy let her sleep and we had lunch as soon as she woke up. We then headed outside for a walk and then played out in the backyard for a bit.

Playdate and USCIS-Oh and V day!

Today we had a fun filled but long day. We got ready in the morning for our neighbors to come and hang out. Our house was not as infant friendly since Saya is no longer crawling around so we had to do a lot of picking up and putting things away. Plus, we had to clean since our house was messy. Saya and the dogs called for me while in the bathroom so I quickly got to the door to find a dog passing by our house. Whew! Had a bit more time to pick up and get everything ready. Liam and Gena came over and we had coffee and muffins and the kiddos hung out. Saya was super good with baby Liam and brought him a ton of toys. She shared all her toys, which mommy is super proud of.  Then after they left we picked up most of the toys and headed out to our appt at USCIS. Though it took about 30 minutes to get to the location we got our fingerprinting done in about 10-15 minutes, which is great for government agencies. We hopped back in our cars and Jeff went back to work and mommy and Saya headed home. So much for an afternoon nap and we decided to take the dogs for a walk and then hang out a bit more before daddy got home.

After dinner we decided to make our chocolate dipped strawberries for V day. Yummy! Saya was beat after a long day and so we got her ready for bed soon after.
