Dog Walk, Milk Shake &Cookies

Today we had a great morning. Mommy got to sleep in for an hour and then came down to make breakfast. We had a nice time listening to music and Saya got to play a lot with her candy that didn't make it in her pinata. She was playing candy store and we bought, traded and returned candy for 30 minutes. It was great. She was also learning to count at the same time. Then we put everything away and got the dogs ready for their weekend walk. We headed to the Broomfield Commons area which we've never been to before. We brought our new/used stroller to the park to see how it worked and Saya had a good time riding in it though a bit big. The dogs loved their walk and Saya and daddy ran them with their leashes on. Saya had a lot of exercise too so she was tired. We stopped at the playground but everything seemed super duper tall so daddy did much of the lifting of the kid. We got to the car and mommy was craving a strawberry milkshake so we stopped at Sonic on the way home and got one. Saya loved it and even ate the cherry. Then mommy had to finish it off. We got home and mommy prepped lunch and we all ate and with our bellies full it was time for nap but Saya couldn't sleep as she has business to complete first. So after 5 books and putting daddy to sleep Saya and mommy played with puzzles and went upstairs get some laundry going. Soon Saya went and all was better but still not sleepy so we made some oatmeal raisin cookies with chocolate chips. She had to touch everything and get her hands dirty. Thank goodness daddy was there to clean her hands. We started baking the cookies while mommy and Saya played with blocks and read more books. Soon she was fast asleep and hopefully will get some rest.  Tomorrow we have a playdate and then open house for preschool so rest is definitely necessary.
