Early Morning Butterfly Pavilion

Today Saya got up a bit early too. Darn time change just seems to tweek sleep for us. We got up and read books and then ate a little breakfast before getting ready to head to the Butterfly Pavilion. It was so bone chilling cold out that we bundled up like no other. Mommy ended carrying 3 jackets, 2 hats and 2 pairs of gloves throughout the trip- definitely not fun. Saya had a blast as she has been cooped up inside taking it easy for the last few days and was just ready to head out. We got to the creepy crawlers and she was so excited to touch the cockroaches. John the zookeeper was there today so he was super nice to us plus we were the first ones in the building so we got a bit lucky. Saya loved seeing Dori in the tank and then off to the Wings of the Tropics. Saya was eager to get out but we saw some beautiful butterflies. Saya wanted one to land on her so badly but none did. One did get on her pants as she had her hot pink fleece pants on but she didn't see it. One almost landed on mommy but no more close encounters. We got out and did our penny thing and played in the Tropical Oddessy for a bit before snacktime. Mommy also got Saya a littl gift at the gift shop which she really likes. We then headed out and got in the car after Saya plastered herself to the floor- She was tired. She fell asleep in the car on the way home but woke up on the couch soon after we got home. We tried a nap but it was only 11 thirty so she got up 10 minutes later with no luck. We then decided to make some bagels but this time we doubled the batch. Saya got to make cinnamon raisin and chocolate chip ones too. She loved eating the chocolate chips out of the bowl and out of the dough. Silly girl! Soon she grew tired and we headed off for nap. After nap we got dinner started before daddy got home.

Daddy got Saya a helmet today off of Craigslist for Saya. Can't wait to ride the Strider outside.

After dinner we decided to test try a pumpkin pie recipe. So far so good and very very easy.
