4th of July Parade, Pool and BBQ

On Wednesday we let daddy sleep in and then Saya and mommy got breakfast ready. Saya was daddy's alarm and asked him to "wake up" which was really cute. We had breakfast and then Saya and mommy headed to the grocery store to pick up some items for our bbq. We got home and then got ready for our parade. Saya was dressed in white and blue and ready to go in the decorated wagon. We took the dogs too but the scorching sun just made it really hard to go all the way around the community so we cut through the football field and came back home. Ryder was so hot he had to lay down so we put him in the wagon too with Saya. We got home and dropped off the dogs and got all our swim stuff ready. Saya was so eager to head to the pool she couldn't wait. We got there and all the chairs were taken so we found a nice shady spot and set our stuff down. We played in the little pool for awhile but soon the catered bbq lunch was ready to be served so mommy waited in line. Daddy took Saya to the bathroom since Saya had to go badly. We're so proud of Saya for going to the bathroom and even telling us she has to go. By the time Saya and daddy were out of the bathroom mommy already had the food ready and set for all of us to eat. Saya was too tired and excited to eat so she ate as much as she could before we headed back to the pool. We played in the over crowded big pool and then back to the little pool before heading home. By the time we got out it was close to 1 thirty so Saya was beat. We got home and put her to bed and she slept for a bit before we had to get dinner ready.
We decided to grill some Korean bbq chicken, with some kale salad, watermelon and butter mochi for dessert. Saya loved the drumsticks and wanted to hang onto the bone. Hilarious! We then hung out and played until the Broomfield fireworks started. We went to a nearby park and sat on a picnic blanket so that it wasn't too loud for Saya. She was so tired she watched but super sleepy at the same time. We didn't get into the crowd so we got home quickly and put her to bed. It was a long but fun filled day.

Happy 4th!
