Cookie Decorating Party

Today was our cookie decorating party. We got up in the morning and started baking gingerbread men and then made frosting and icing. Saya helped a bit as well, okay not really.

Saya woke up around 5am today so we started the day early playing with cookie cutters.

Saya found the toppings for the cookies and was super interested in the marshmellow trees and stars.

Break time! Saya and I went out to the backyard to get some fresh air. We played with the dogs and ran around a bit.
Someone likes to play with the gravel.

Again with the climbing.

Daddy is mixing the food coloring into the frosting. This is a color lesson for Saya.

Here are the gingerbread men that we baked this morning.

The set up.

The kiddy table set up.

All the kids loved the lower table and made ooey gooey cookies. Saya is just observing.

Mommy helped Saya make her cookies but she decided to start smearing the frosting and then eating the cookies. That works too.

Saya trying to dip her hands into frosting.

Got a marshmellow. Squish!

I was making some cookies and Saya was eager to get in on the action.

It was a fun and messy day but we had a good time. Maybe this might be a Neima family tradition going forward.
