Rockies Rock the Padres in 10

What a stunning victory last night. The Padres had the lead most of the game and it was an 8-6 Padre lead going into the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. Then our favorite hero Trevor Hoffman comes up to get the save.

Ever since the break, T-Time has been Loss-Time. He has blown 3 of 6 saves I believe. Back to the game... Hoffman gave up a 2-run shot with 2 outs. Then in the bottom of the 10th, a stunning come from behind win was pulled off by the Rockies with a great sliding play at the plate.

Check out the video highlights over at ESPN.

  1. I missed most of the game but I did catch some on the radio and arrived home in time to see Trevor give up the save with two outs! So many things went wrong that game I don't know where to begin! The normally excellent defense let the Pads down last night. Colorado should have never scored that second set of 3 runs if it wasn't for poor defense by Barfield. Then of course there is the 2 run homerun that Trevor gives up. At what was up with the umpires? That Choo Freeman was so far out of the baseline on the throw home I thought he was coming off the bench instead of from third. Bloody hell! Padres missed a grand oppurtunity to distance themselves from the pack. Beat the Rockies and that purple dinosaur they call a mascot!
