JPG Picnic & Sweet Cow
Today we took it easy in the morning and prepared all the food we were going to bring to the picnic. Saya helped a lot with the yaki onigiri and the tako sausages. We got to Waneka Lake at 11am right when it started. Mommy didn't want to stay long since it's 95 degrees out today. Saya got to play with other kiddos and on the playground for a bit before lunch was ready. We grabbed our food and ate a ton and then played some more. Mommy lost sight of Saya for a bit but she was with Michiko san on a "tanken" around the lake. She had a blast and had a stick to play with. We played on the playground for a bit and then did games, stories, rocket launching and balloon launching too. Saya had a grand time although she had to wait a ton since she kept leaving her spot in line (must work on this). Then we cracked the watermelon and Saya was super excited. Once the watermelon was cracked Saya was right there getting her piece and then another. She played some more but it was so hot outside that we had to leave for mommy's sake. We stopped at Sweet Cow for a cold treat. Saya wanted to sit outside so we ate our ice cream outside and then got some water and a tattoo before heading home. Mommy was super hot and cranky by this time and so was kiddo. We got in the car and left and Saya fell asleep in the car around 2 thirty. So proud of kiddo lasting all this time as she is normally tired around noon. She made a ton of new friends and had a fabulous time but now we can finally rest indoors in the A/C. Thank goodness! Hopefully Saya will rest up as we have another hot day of running tomorrow for soccer.
