Baby Meisa's Arrival

Yup at 1:44pm on Thursday October 15th, Meisa Kara Neima was born. She was 18 inches in length, 5lb 8oz and very happy. She came right out and cried so we were thrilled. Mommy was in tears and daddy was so happy too. The doctor was repairing mommy and expelling the placenta while the NICU staff was taking care of Meisa. Daddy went with them to the nursery to clean Meisa and get her checked out. She checked out healthy so they allowed her to stay with us in our room. It's unbelievable that she is here with us after being in mommy's belly for so long. After daddy got back mommy ordered lunch and then we finally got to eat for the day. Daddy headed back home to take care of Saya and grandma and then came back to be with mommy and Meisa. We were good but still needed some sleep so we had nursery watch her for a few hours, while we still can.

Since Meisa was born early she still needed to be supplemented so we have her on formula but hopefully mommy's milk will come in soon.

Meisa had to be checked every hour for the first 4 hours post birth and then every 4 hours after that.

Mommy had to be checked too for post delivery complications and bleeding. Still very sore and hurting but definitely not as bad as the labor pains.

Lots of people coming in and out of our room checking on everyone. Poor daddy couldn't sleep at all.

Now it's time for Meisa to meet Saya and mommy to heal. Meisa can't wait to meet everyone.
