It's also Saya's 16 month birthday. She's been with us for over 13 months now. It's hard to believe a year and a month had already gone by. Time flies when you are having fun I guess.
We were up till 10 thirty on New Years Eve so we were a bit tired the next day. We rang in the New Years with our pajamas but that's ok. We had ozoni, japanese mochi soup dish eaten on New Years, and osechi food that mommy cooked the day before. Then we headed out to a couple's house, we met them through our agency here in CO, as they kindly invited us over for New Years lunch.
The following pictures mommy looks really bad but I'm going to post for documenting.

Saya ready to reach into the food.
Mikan, datemaki, kamaboko, kuri kinton, kinpira gobo, osekihan, tazukuri and kuromame.
Ozoni for breakfast. Saya was totally weirded out by the new dishes. I think she would have preferred pancakes.
We all got new chopsticks and Saya got her own training ones. I think this may take a while.
Saya making herself comfy in the dog bed.
All dressed up in the outfit grandma got her. Love this outfit, I hope it lasts a few more months.
Not sure about the tights but mommy and daddy think it's so cute, we kept them on her.
Watching the Rose Parade on KTLA.
Family pikucha!

Saya was happy to be at home playing with her toys.
Eager to start punching some keys on the laptop.
Whew! Finally got to take off the tights.
The dogs went out for a run with daddy and came home cold. We warmed up their blankets in the dryer and they were nice and toasty, and very happy.
