Dog Walk & Swimming

Today we had a pretty slow morning and kiddo and mom were in super good moods. Not sure why. We read books in the morning and then had breakfast. Doggies were happy as Ryder's toe nail is starting to heal and so we ran him in the house. We took the dogs for a walk and then came back for snacks. We played mah jong and did a lot of stacking. Soon we did more pumpking carvings on playdoh. Saya seems to really like this. We played outside for a bit and enjoyed the hot sun and then had a light lunch. Daddy came home to drop off the car after alignment and new brakes. So we said "hi' and "bye". Saya didn't take a nap till 2pm but thankfully she did nap for an hour and woke up just in time for swimming class. We made it to class on time and Saya wanted to bring her own toys today. She did but seemed a bit distracted to that's a no go next class. She got her progress report and they recommend that she moves to the next level. So exciting!
We got home and Saya played with kiddos next door and drew with sidewalk chalk. Daddy mowed the lawn and mommy picked up a package for a neighbor. Finally we sat down for dinner and then decided to give kiddo a shower. We attempted to watch the presidential debate but kiddo wasn't really interested and I can see why. We watched Ni Hao Kai-Lan and then said it's time for bed.

Time to relax.

Preschool Swimming with Daddy

Today we had a rough morning but somehow got through it. We played with playdoh and all the Halloween decorations and put together our candy cauldron. We then went upstairs to put away all the baby clothes and sort out which ones to bring to the hospital. We had snacks and then got ready for preschool. Today was a swimming day so daddy got permission to take Saya swimming and took off an hour from work. The pool was super warm and the pool area was so hot mommy had to leave. Daddy swam some more with Saya and then got her dressed for the rest of her preschool day.

Saya came home exhausted and she fell asleep in the car and napped for a good hour and half. We then read some books and mommy started making meatballs for dinner. Saya gobbled up all her meatballs and then we  started putting up Halloween decorations before bedtime.

New Tires & Swimming

On Monday we stayed home and took the dogs on a much needed walk after breakfast. Daddy took the car in to get our new tires aligned and came home soon afterwards and worked from home. Saya and mommy came back and we had snacks. We went outside to play with sidewalk chalk and colored and read books and Saya was out. She was super tired from the day before so she took a good nap. We then headed out to swimming but stopped at the indoor play area before to get rid of excess energy. Then we went swimming and got home. Mommy was too exhausted to cook dinner so daddy made us some pasta. Mommy had to make a few phone calls so daddy took Saya up for a bath and then we watched Ni Hao Kai Lan before bed and mommy put Saya to bed.

House Stuff and Target

On Sunday we took care of a lot of things around the house. We decided to clean out Subi before installing the new car seat. Saya helped but mostly colored on the lawn. We then got the nursery stuff put together and  pulled out some of Saya's old clothes for the new baby. And then we headed over to Target to get stuff together for mommy's overnight bag. There really wasn't much to get for mommy so we ended up getting a few things and headed home for lunch. Saya was not tired as our day wasn't stimulating enough. So after lunch and many books after daddy was asleep and Saya wasn't. We decided to play outside and then color some more.  Mommy was tired so we went upstairs to do a bit of relaxing on the bed and daddy put up all the drapes. It was a bit sad as we ordered 4 drape panels and we were 2 short. So then we had to order again from Target and have to wait for more to arrive. Then it was time for dinner but mommy was too tired to cook anything and so was daddy. Mommy sucked it up and cooked up some stir fry while daddy took Saya outside for some activity. Saya seemed to have rode her tricycle about 3 times around the park. That's huge for her and a lot of exercise. Yeah Saya!
We watched the rest of Ni Hao Kai-Lan before bed and called it a night.
