Butterflies and Shopping

Today we ate a light breakfast before walking the dogs around the lake. Everyone did quite well but because there were so many dogs on the trail they were mainly leashed the entire time. We got home and got the dogs ready for the day. We headed off to the Butterfly Pavilion. Saya was still quite tired when we got there but she was super happy when she was able to touch the tarantula. We then headed to the sea creatures and she touched the star fish for the first time. Huge accomplishment! Then we headed in to see the butterflies and right when we got in one landed on mommy's shirt. Saya was not pleased and quite upset that it didn't land on her. We walked around a bit and headed out for the penny swirl thingy and the gift shop. Uncle got her a little present which she was super happy about. We played in Tropical Oddessy and then headed back to the butterflies to see the encounter. We sat down but the introduction was a bit too long so we decided to leave. Saya was into the gift shop again so auntie followed.

We then stopped at Pho Duy for some lunch. Saya was dead asleep and uncle carried her while we all ate lunch. We switched off and Saya woke up and wanted to eat noodles too. She had a great time and loved uncle's soup. We then headed home and auntie and uncle took the dogs out to the dog park and then stopped at the doggie store for some goodies for the kiddos. We then decided to go shopping before dinner and headed to the mall.

We got home just in time to eat our beer brat dinner. It was a long but great day and Saya was beat.

Lots of Doggies and Pumpkins

On Tuesday mommy made pancakes for everyone and then we got the dogs ready for a morning walk around the lake. The dogs did really well off leash and no one seemed to be upset. We got home and put the dogs in separate locations and got ready to head to the pumpkin patch. We went to our usual pumpkin patch Rock Creek Farms and headed straight to a patch where we were the only ones. Auntie was super excited and so was Saya, although she was on the verge of falling asleep. It took us a while to find our perfect pumpkins and then we had to move the car closer to where we were since we ventured off quite a bit to find the right pumpkin. We loaded up the car and paid at the booth and headed out to lunch at Chipotle. Mommy got a bit lost on the way there so it took a bit longer than expected. We stopped at Chipotle where Saya was dead asleep but woke up just in time for auntie and uncle to get her her own kids meal. She loved her little chips bag. Then we stopped at Jamba Juice for a cold treat. Saya loved her little 8 oz cup that she shared with mommy. We got home and took it easy. We attempted to fly a kite in the windy weather but it didn't work so we headed back in. Mommy made udon noodles for dinner and then we were all tired and ready for a new day.

Tired Monday

On Monday Saya and mommy had a rough morning start. Mommy was sick and Saya just wanted to lay down. We played in the sand and water table, picked raspberries and played with play-dough. We read a ton of books and then picked weeds until naptime. We got the guest bedroom all set up and ready to go for auntie and uncle. Soon after naptime we headed over to the grocery store to pick up some essential groceries. We made some ginger pork for dinner and as soon as we finished, uncle and auntie were on our deck ready to play with Saya. We took all the dogs to the park to get acquainted but since Bella was a bit terrified of Zion, we decided to keep the dogs separated for a while. Auntie and uncle ate dinner and then Saya had to start her bedtime routine. We watched the new adventures of Pippi longstocking and it was off to bed.

We picked raspberries and though she ate a bunch while picking them she ate more that mommy picked and placed in a bowl.

Auntie and uncle arrived and read books while Saya got ready for bed.

Cleaning Sunday

On Sunday we took things a bit easy and had a nice breakfast and took the dogs to the lake for a nice walk. It was super hot out so afterwards we all got to the backyard and sprayed ourselves down with the hose. Saya had a blast and we played for a bit before bedtime. Daddy painted more of the porch while Saya slept and mommy cleaned the house before auntie and uncle come over. We had a lazy dinner and decided to make California rolls at home. Fun and tiring day and ready for visitors tomorrow.

Japanese School

Today we went to Japanese school after a belly full of pancakes in the morning. Saya was all excited about class but when we got there she didn't want to go in. It took us about 15 minutes to get into class and then when we finally sat down she slowly started to participate. Around 10:50am all the kids including Saya started to melt so we all had snacks and they were back to their happy selves.We headed out the school doors and the kids were so happy. Hum... perhaps J school is still school to them and they know it?

Saya fell asleep in the car but when we parked still asleep we put her on the couch and she will most likely nap for a while. The mental stimulation was a bit much today.
