Tuesday Toddler Group

Today we headed out to the toddler group to visit all our friends and had a great time. We met a new mom and toddler that seem to have a lot in common with us so perhaps we can set up a playdate with them soon. Saya took a 5 minute nap on the way to the group so she was more alert today than last time. She sat on other moms laps and got snacks from other moms and had jolly ol time. We got home and she took an hour nap, which was great and it was time for lunch. Someone didn't eat her lunch as she filled up on snacks at the toddler group. We headed out for a walk with the dogs and stopped at the playground. Saya seemed to be quite upset to leave the playground but shortly followed me home. We got home and played a bit before naptime but again she fought against sleep and fell asleep at 4 thirty. Definitely not a great pattern or schedule so we may have to play catch up soon. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit calmer.

Saya playing with the computer. We decided as of tonight to not let her watch too many videos or play with the computer too much as she is not interested in other things because of it.

Toddler group at the Brunner house.

Saya giving Bloks to a mommy friend.

Next is a puzzle.

Playing with hats.

After the group ended we all went outside to the open space area and ran down the path.

Swings!

Saya dressed in all brown. Even her shoes are brown. She was staring at the pre schoolers playing outside during recess. That will be her in 2 more years. Yikes!

Climbing up the play gym. She's getting quite quick.

Dogs are watching patiently. They have been so understanding after baby came along.

Down the slide.

I don't want to go yet,  mommy. Five more minutes please! This is the look she gave me so I let her stay a bit longer.

Playing with the marble thingy and then we started to head home. She cried and noodled on me so that she could stay but we had to go as it was getting really chilly out.

Saya playing with the Disney cell phone mommy bought her yesterday at the mall. She likes the flip top but tends to throw it after a while. Hum... I guess it's not to her liking.

Saya playing with some quinoa. Definitely a healthy choice. Mom hopes that she will eat it for dinner tomorrow.

Bye Bye Bottle and the Mall

Today we packed away Saya's glass bottles. She's all grown up now and bottles are a no no and yes yes to cups. We also headed to the mall with some friends and had a great time.

Saya taking her glass Weil Baby bottles upstairs. I have been putting everything she has outgrown in a box for storage and it's filling up fast. I am sure I'll have to get rid of more soon but until then, memories.

Saya looking through our paper blinds. Yes, paper blinds 6 years later.

Saya is now able to open and close the top drawer to her dresser. She wants to always look inside but I'm not sure why. Nothing in that drawer seems to interest her. It's a great workout for mommy as she has to hold Saya up to look inside.

Saya playing with her crib latches. We're not looking forward to the day she climbs out.

Combing her hair.

Found mommy's toothbrush.

Backing up in her BBB while skyping with baba.

At the mall with friends.

In Hanna Andersson store eating her snacks.

In Pottery Barn Kids sitting in her own personal chair.

Woo hoo a red retro kitchen sink + Dyson vacuum at PBK.

Playing with Hello Kitty cards that Auntie Shiho sent.

Better Bumble Bee Buggy

When we assembled the Bumble Bee Buggy last time the front wheels were a little off so we got replacement parts and reassembled it. It's good as new and Saya seemed to have noticed the difference, maybe not.

Saya on her BBB

Saya missed her Bloks.

Dogs still fast asleep.

Sunday Hiking

We met up with our friends again for a short hike. It was supposed to be sunny but at the trail head the sun disappeared and the cold winds blew. We took the dogs with us so it made the hike a bit more challenging as some parts had snow and ice. We took it slow and turned back as the trail just didn't seem to safe for babies. We stopped at a Starbucks to get a cup of coffee on the way back and ate our lunches. We got home and gave the dogs a bath and put Saya down for a nap. It was quite day and it felt good to rest at home the rest of the evening.

Saya playing with daddy's shoes. They look really big compared to her.

The dogs were super excited to go somewhere new.

Saya looked a little unsure.

The start of our hike. A bit icy on the trails with a cold breeze. We forgot Saya's gloves so we borrowed some from our friends.

The Flatirons #1,2 and 3

Bella being a trooper. We accidentally stepped on her foot not just once but twice. But she was really understanding and we carried her back to the car.

Ryder was so eager to keep going. He was a bit upset that we turned around- He's definitely a hiking dog and we'll get him som hiking boots for next time. Oh and maybe a jacket-it was cold.

Saya being a trooper. Her nose was running and she was hungry but still tried to have a good time.

Baby slept most of the way and was quite content in his pack.

Just chillin.

Snack and baby checking break.

Mommy and daddy with baby and the dogs. Just a little bit of snow still left on the trail. We kept slipping and decided to turn around.

Dogs were so happy to be back in the warm car. Someone even turned on the butt warmer. They slept in the car and once we got home. It was an exciting day for them and I bet they might be ready for another hike soon.

Dogs got a bath and needed some rest. They got warm blankets and soon fell asleep on the couch.

Party Party

On Saturday we did some things around the house like putting hinge covers on the stroller and then headed out for a walk. We also decided to cut daddy's hair since it was so long. I tried to just cut a little bit off but took off more so we had to go short again. We then headed out for a birthday party for our friends in Boulder. Our neighbor had to be rushed to the hospital right before we were about to leave for the party so it made our trip a bit rushed but everything turned out ok and we had a great time.

Saya giving daddy a back massage.

Saya checking out her stroller.

Chewing on everything in sight. Someone is still teething.

Baby curls. We hope that the curls never go away.

Saya's feet.

Daddy before his haircut.

Saya trying to control the compute again.

Swings!

Climbing on top of the playgym.

Sliding down the tunnel slide all by herself. She grabs on tight at the beginning and seems a bit nervous and then has a big smile when she slides down.

Saya still loves running down hills.

Pushing the stroller with daddy.

Party time! Everyone eating and chatting having a great time.

Smile!

Bouncing baby.

Saya trying to stay awake but is tired and is so ready for bed.
