Strainer

Saya discovered the kitchen cabinets today. I pulled out a strainer for her to play with. She seemed to have enjoyed it for about a minute.

On her Own

Saya is learning balance these days. She is able to pull herself on the jumperoo without falling. So proud of her.

Ryder and his Star

Ryder loves Saya's bath toys. He has been eyeing the starfish for a long time so we gave it to him. Saya still thinks it's hers so she follows him everywhere but she'll get it soon.

Dog Bed Saya

Saya loves the dog beds. She can't help but to climb into them.

Saya and her Nuby

Third times a charm. Saya finally started drinking out of a sippy cup with a easy to drink valve. Thank goodness!

Playdate Today

Saya joined all her friends at a playgroup today. She was wiped by the time she got home and just wanted to sleep. She played well with the other babies and even drank out of someone else's sippy cup. Sharing is always a good thing even if it is a bit gross.

Here is Saya with baby Nate. Though they are a month and half apart look at the size different. Saya looks huge (in a good way).

Saya Tries Egg Yolk

Today was Saya's first time eating egg yolk and she did great! So far no food allergies and we're hoping it stays that way.

Eating Fish and Spinach

Saya is trying fish and spinach for the first time. Not sure what her impression is but I hope she'll continue to eat it in the future.

1st the spinach

Now the fish

I think she likes the fish better. She got a bunch in her hair too! I hope fish is good for the hair-

Playdate with Kai-kun

Saya had a playdate with Kai-kun today. They seem to have a great time together.

Time to Clean

Saya is helping mommy clean the house before our guests arrive for a playdate.

Up Close and Personal

Saya seems to think I'm her personal jungle gym. She climbs on me and this is how she looks:)

Looking Out the Window

Saya likes to look out the window all by herself. Not sure what she is looking for but she seems to enjoy it.

Why Dog Toys?

Not sure why Saya opts for dog toys instead of her own. Here she is with Ry and Bell's tire chew toy. Yuck! In the mouth too.

Playdate on Wednesday

Saya and I hosted 5 other moms and babies on Wednesday. Saya had a great time and went down for her nap. She was exhausted! The moms also had a good time and we will be meeting more regularly for playdates.

Support Group

Today was our last day at the infant support group at the Parenting Place. 10 months is the cut off as the babies are too big and active to be around little tiny infants. Now we will be attending the Toddler Support groups. A little sad to be moving on but it's definitely necessary before Saya crawls over a 6 week old baby.

Boon Plate Stays Food Goes All Over

I was determined to get Saya to eat some sweet watermelon today. So I dished up some pears, watermelon, avocado and cheese on her Boon plate. I thought she would pick up a piece and start eating it. Nope, not the case. The food when flying on the floor but the plate stayed in place. I'll have to try again during her next feeding.

4th Tooth

Saya got in her 4th tooth. Never knew how huge her two front teeth were. No wonder she wasn't sleeping and acting strange.

Saya and Pears

Saya is getting better and better at picking up the pears we give her. They are still steam boiled but still somewhat tough enough for her so that she can pick them up and put them in her mouth. We're so proud of our little girl. She is starting to gum more and more finger foods everyday. Our baby is growing up so fast!

Bottles Everywhere

We thought this was a bit funny. Lots of bottles and drinks just ended up on the counter. Can you tell which ones belong to who?

McKay Landing 4th of July Parade

Our first year participating in the parade. It was great fun! Saya had a good time but passed out towards the end of the parade. We were towards the end of the parade so we were right next to the car following the parade with festive music blasting. We had to come back home to feed Saya and then we're off to the bbq at the pool.

Do you like the decorations on the stroller? It was a last minute decoration but we're quite happy with it. Next year we'll be more proactive.

Baby would not stay still for a 4th of July outfit picture. I took 50 shots and still not one good one.
Yes, that's bella's nose.

Saya in her fancy stroller.

Ryder in his 4th of July decor.

Like the headband? 1 dollar at Target.

Baby in her decorated stroller.

Mommy and baby.

Daddy Ry and Bella in front of the Clubhouse.

Bella is not too thrilled with her 4th of July decor.

Meeting Grandpa Michael

Saya met grandpa Michael for the first time today. She didn't even wimper so it was a great first meeting.

Looking for Daddy

Daddy was out mowing the lawn and Saya wanted to find him. She decided to look out the window all by herself.

Climbing the Stairs

Saya is able to climb the stairs all by herself. She's so proud and so are we. We are close by just in case she misses a step so not to worry. Now how do we teach her to climb down the stairs?

Happy 10 Month Birthday Saya!

Saya turned 10 months old today. She's growing so fast. She looks more and more like a little girl and no longer a baby.

Exhausted but Refusing to Nap

Look at the smile she gives me when she doesn't want to go down for a nap. It just melts my heart. Do you like her hairdo?

Playdate

Today we met up with Adriana/Elia and Debbie/Katie for a playdate at Adriana's house. We all had a great time.

Vent and Nuby

We are trying really hard to get Saya to drink water as the temps have soared here in Colorado. The Eco Vessel spout was too hard, the Munchkin was not that great so now onto the Nuby. It's our 3rd sippy cup and it finally worked. Thank goodness! Here's Saya with her sippy cup playing on the vent. I try to detour her from the vent but this time I let her.

Homemade Shape Sorter

We've been meaning to get Saya a shape sorter but haven't yet so we made one out of a cardboard box for Saya. Doesn't she look little compared to the box? She doesn't really get the whole concept of the shape sorter but I know she'll catch on soon.

Need to Fan

It's been quite hot here in Broomfield the last couple of days. Saya enjoys her uchiwa fan. She doesn't really know how to use it yet but enjoys playing with it and loves it when mommy fans her.
