Here is Saya with her tag toy on her head. She reminds me of My Neighbor Totoro with a leaf on his head.

Getting Used to Tofu

Today we tried tofu and it wasn't a big hit. Saya is used to pureed foods and since I just mash the tofu to small bits, she doesn't know what to do with it. We mixed it with some cereal and fruits and it seemed to go down better.

New Used Toy

I recently went to a moms of twins sale in Boulder and found something for Saya. I found a leap frog musical table for her and recently cleaned it for her to play with. Here she is playing with it for the first time last night.

New Outfit- 12 months

How in the world did she grow so fast? Saya used to fit into 3 month separates when we got back from Japan and now she's in 12 month separates- still a bit big but will be snug in a month or two. Here she is in her outfit mommy got her.

Saya Turned 8 Months Old Today!

How time flies! Saya is now 8 months old and has been with us for about 5 months. We're so proud and happy that she is growing up and happy and healthy. We hope she knows how much we adore and cherish her. We thought a big number 8 cookie was appropriate for her 8 month birthday.

Sickly Saya

Poor Saya is not feeling well as of yesterday. She has been suffering from a cold and has a runny nose. I hope she gets better soon. I miss her happy little self. She's been a bit cranky as she's not feeling well. .

31 Cent Scoop Night at Baskin Robbins

The deal was just too good to pass up. We went to get 3 scoops each and Saya enjoyed our little outing on a Wednesday night. We got there at 5pm to beat the rush and it worked out perfect. No lines and lots of ice cream to go around.  We ate dinner after we got back and then had some nice ice cream for dessert.

Saya's First Jinbei San

Our neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Hiraga just came back from Japan bearing a wonderful gift for Saya. Her very own Jinbei-san. It's still a bit big but she looks so cute in it. Her daddy has two sets as well so I hope to get a picture with the both of them in their jinbeis.

Saya and Her Spoon

I decided to let Saya try to use her spoon during meal times. At first she wasn't interested and just wanted to be fed, but now she wants to grab ahold of her spoon and shove it in her mouth. The food doesn't come off the spoon all that great yet, but I am sure she will be a pro in no time.

Taking a Break after Baby Support Group

Today we went to the Parenting Place in Broomfield to meet other moms and babies. Saya did really well and had fun watching other babies. Mommy also made some friends as well- Very productive day. Saya was a bit worn out from all the stimulation and took a break on the couch.

Since we had such a great time, I plan on going every Tuesday from now on.

Saya just started to scoot backwards today. I think it's the start of her crawling. How exciting!

We returned from shopping and she started playing on the floor and I noticed her moving further and further back.

We went to a toy store and bought Saya her first ball. She seems to like it so far. The dogs are eyeing it as well.
